Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight securely using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle interior.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
