Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License (Georgia or MD preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong ability to navigate local routes and understand traffic regulations.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
