Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently through Atlanta and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers at each delivery point.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues immediately.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current DOT medical card (Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Preferred).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
