Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight on dedicated regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments efficiently with proper equipment handling
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Represent Southwest Logistics Group professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Must pass comprehensive background check
