Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight between Dallas, TX, and Virginia routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with precision using forklifts when required
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete all required paperwork including delivery receipts and mileage logs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility for overnight travel and regional routes
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
