Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Louisville metropolitan area and regional routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices at all times
- Communicate effectively with logistics team regarding delivery status and potential delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service compliance
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks when required
