Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on scheduled weekend routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment while following handling procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Respond professionally to delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no DUI/DWI convictions in past 5 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Northern California geography and traffic patterns
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- DOT-compliant medical certification required
