Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul routes across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while prioritizing safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight trips
