Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport freight throughout San Antonio and the surrounding Texas region.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred but not required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be available to work weekends on a consistent schedule.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
