Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for weekend deliveries within Kansas and surrounding regions
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Complete required training for hazmat endorsements (when applicable)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Strong knowledge of Kansas roadways and DOT regulations
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6 AM - 6 PM)
- Basic computer skills for ELD operation
- Valid hazmat endorsement preferred
