Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across Texas and the Southwest
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet tight delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Assist with loading/unloading when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazmat handling procedures (preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
