Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local and regional delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and securing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and daily logbooks.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and procedures.
- Interact professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and team members at every stop.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Previous experience in truck driving, logistics, or transportation preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
