Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on assigned routes in the San Jose area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and paperwork for all deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Ensure the securement of freight to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Strong understanding of cargo handling and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as scheduled.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
