Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while navigating various routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- A current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as the primary schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
