Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes within San Jose and surrounding Bay Area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required to maintain efficient workflow
- Document delivery exceptions and provide clear customer communication
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
