Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using hand tools and proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no DUI, reckless driving, or major accidents in the last 3-5 years).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical) is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience with local delivery routes is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
