Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned weekend routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, receiving packages, and obtaining signatures upon delivery.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to prevent accidents and violations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of geographic areas within the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
