Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on assigned routes within the San Antonio area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records in strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate and DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for logging and communication.
