Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles to transport goods across North Carolina and neighboring states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time updates
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training modules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HAZMAT regulations (Hazmat certification preferred)
- Strong knowledge of regional routes and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) with weekday flexibility for training
