Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on local and regional delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and route schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable background check results.
- Willingness to work weekend shifts and flexible scheduling availability.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight transportation, or long-haul driving is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
