Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over various routes in and around Nashville, TN.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Verify load documentation and ensure all DOT regulations are met.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging device (ELD) entry.
