Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles on designated weekend routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo properly, adhering to weight and balance specifications.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and pass a background check.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass the DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Basic knowledge of trucking software and GPS navigation systems.
