As a Weekend Shift Driver, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods to our valued clients across Southern California. Enjoy the benefits of a structured weekend schedule while maintaining a high-quality work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive box trucks, vans, and heavy-duty straight trucks on assigned routes within the LA metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure freight using straps and bars, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any defects or issues immediately.
- Adhere to DOT Regulations: Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including speed limits, traffic laws, and weight restrictions.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, obtaining signatures and ensuring satisfaction.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate various terrains.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
