Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently in adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight accurately using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
