Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and courteous manner on all Las Vegas roadways and highways.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and ensure all paperwork is completed in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and stakeholders, representing Sunshine Transport with a positive attitude.
- Route Planning: Adhere to designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of freight.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Medical: Current DOT medical card (Medically Certified).
- Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
