Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring product integrity and preventing damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict schedules and routes to meet customer delivery deadlines without exception.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving) within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and defensive driving techniques.
