Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to designated locations efficiently and safely.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) and secure loads properly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipt documentation, and mileage records.
- Uphold strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
