Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods safely across Michigan and surrounding regions
- Strictly adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Manage delivery documentation, bills of lading, and electronic logging systems
- Optimize route efficiency while meeting tight delivery deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain professional conduct representing company values at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Michigan roadways and winter driving conditions
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
