Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to transport goods to designated destinations in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load & Unload Freight: Secure cargo properly, ensuring it is safely loaded and unloaded at various customer sites.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery, cargo, and vehicle status, including logbooks and delivery receipts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any delivery-related issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples).
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR): Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a DOT physical examination, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and flexible schedules as required by operational needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use electronic logging devices (ELD).
