Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently within the Albuquerque area and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly using straps and chains to prevent damage or accidents.
- Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, logbooks, and electronic logging device (ELD) updates accurately.
- Unload freight at designated locations and obtain proper delivery signatures.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company brand.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current DOT Medical Card and physical examination on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available to work all scheduled weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Experience with flatbed or dry van operations is a plus.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
