Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and prevent mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Strong knowledge of local roadways in Colorado Springs and the surrounding region.
