Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local deliveries and freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification card current and valid
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
