Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods within Jacksonville and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections, vehicle maintenance checks, and post-trip documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch team
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Manage route optimization to ensure timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville-area roads and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility for occasional overtime during peak seasons
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
