Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with exceptional route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time schedule adjustments
- Represent Metro Logistics with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of Atlanta metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- DOT-compliant medical certification and drug testing clearance
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
