Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across New York metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Assist in training new drivers and mentoring weekend team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience with hazmat tanker endorsement preferred
