Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous vehicle inspection logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while meeting strict delivery deadlines
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-sensitive and hazardous materials (with proper endorsement)
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Maintain clean driving record and participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
