Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and local routes
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Represent Coastal Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia traffic laws and route navigation
- Basic mechanical knowledge for preventative maintenance
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for early morning/weekend shifts as needed
