Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections ensuring DOT compliance and vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation including logs and electronic records
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques in all conditions
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time service
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexible availability including early morning and weekend shifts as needed
