Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Navigate delivery routes in Raleigh and surrounding areas with a focus on timely arrivals.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of cargo during transit.
- Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a spotless safety record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
