Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on all roadways.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and document findings.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads with appropriate straps and chains.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as refueling, tire checks, and interior cleaning.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Medical Examiner Certificate.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading and unloading.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
