Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various road conditions, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
- Prepare daily logs (ELD) and maintain accurate records of hours of service and mileage.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Ensure the preservation of cargo integrity and report any damage immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and road signs.
