Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery documentation, including delivery receipts and logbooks (E-Logs).
- Adhere to strict schedules and time windows to meet customer service expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor during loading/unloading.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
