Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) within DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and timely deliveries
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
- Handle hazardous materials shipments with required certifications
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- DOT medical certification current and on file
- Familiarity with DC metro area routes and traffic patterns
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
