Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of local/regional freight using box trucks
- Pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance of assigned equipment
- Accurate documentation of deliveries and mileage logs
- Direct communication with dispatch and clients for updates
- Adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Route optimization for efficient delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for dispatch apps
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Own box truck (26' or smaller) in good working condition
