Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following traffic laws and district routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with patience and positive reinforcement
- Ensure all students are properly secured with seatbelts
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during loading/unloading
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
