Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all DOT and company safety policies, including hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Must be willing and able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo of varying weights and sizes.
- Willingness to cross state lines and work varying shifts as needed.
