Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Illinois and Midwest regions
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route planning and timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat tanker/double/triple endorsements preferred
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area and Illinois highway systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
