Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within California
- Maintain meticulous pre/post-trip inspections and DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Ensure temperature-controlled cargo integrity for sensitive shipments
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for route optimization and real-time tracking
- Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with California's port operations and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
