Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner to deliver cargo to designated locations on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of driving time, vehicle status, and cargo manifest using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed during handling.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, and any special handling requirements.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean, organized, and free of debris.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) meeting DOT standards.
- Clean driving record with no recent DUI, reckless driving, or major moving violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Preferred).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of geographic areas in Arizona and surrounding regions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety-first operations.
