As a Trainee, you will receive hands-on mentorship and classroom instruction to obtain your Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). We offer a modern fleet, competitive benefits, and a supportive environment that prioritizes safety and driver satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Complete Paid Training: Undergo our structured training program to obtain your Class A CDL license and Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP).
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive tractor-trailers to deliver freight to various locations within the Boston metro area and beyond, adhering to all DOT regulations.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Load & Unload Freight: Safely secure cargo using straps and binders, ensuring load integrity during transit.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery points, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs.
- Documentation: Accurately complete logbooks, delivery receipts, and other required paperwork in compliance with FMCSA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A current and valid driver’s license (Class B with Passenger endorsement is a plus, but not required).
- Eligibility for CDL: Must be eligible to obtain a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) and a Class A CDL license.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet the vision and hearing requirements.
- Strong Work Ethic: Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn and a commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check, including drug screening, and be able to pass a road test.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps and navigation systems.
